Justin, I recommend that you go right away and download the most excellent redbook, "Who knew you could do that in RPGIV" otherwise known as "the sorcer's guide", or simply "the redbook". I found this to be of GREAT help when I started learning RPGIV and ILE. Get it here: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/pubs/pdfs/redbooks/sg245402.pdf Eric DeLong Sally Beauty Company MIS-Sr. Programmer/Analyst 940-898-7863 or ext. 1863 -----Original Message----- From: Justin Houchin [mailto:jhouchin9@charter.net] Sent: Wednesday, April 17, 2002 10:31 AM To: RPG Midrange Subject: Prototypes This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I also have one more question. I am new to procedures. Can someone explain in lemans terms a definition of a prototype, procedure, sub procedure and how they relate. I am confused on the terminology. I read the section in the back of the RPGIV book but I just need to better definition.
