Geo, If you are accessing your data only with SQL then the 'allow nulls' option is not needed. Otherwise, Use the H-spec ALWNULL(*YES) >>> vitekg@ctpf.org 04/08/02 11:00AM >>> -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] > Under V3R2,we have created null capable database files using AS/400 SQL. > > We would like to READ these files using using RPG/ILE code imbedded within a >SQL program. > How does one compile using CRTSQLRPGI which runs the precompile step to generate the required SQL support, then invokes the CRTBNDRPG command with the ALLOW NULLS Option set at *NO. We need the option set to *YES. Alternativly, where is the temp file or member QSQLTEMP and QSQLTEMP1. This may have the exploded code that can be run thru CTRBNDRPG, which will accept the Allow Nulls parameter. This is V3R2..... Is there a PTF available??? (Note: This is a temporary condition. A new iSeries comming shortly.) Confused... Thanks for any help.
