Aye, I was talking about when the "needle" is empty.  In your case, I agree,
"Hi there" is not in the string "".  But if the question is, does "Hi there"
contain the string "", that's when I think it should bomb.

is involved they both bomb.

Your case can be argued about, but my example should definitely return 0 in
my opinion.
