Barbara may have mentioned it - I didn't see the original message - but it only _looks_ useful. The minute you have a program that needs to add a single entry to the H spec to do something different, the data area is ignored - the compiler will not even look for it. Since you can achieve exactly the same things by including a /COPY StdHSpec in each program and allow the library list to dictate which one gets used, I tend to view the data area approach as an accident waiting to happen.
