Hi,

The field occupies two bytes, and RPG initialises this to all blanks since
it is part of a DS.  Hex 4040 becomes 16448 as integer.

I had following code in my  Report pgm

 FTAXREPP1  O    E             PRINTER INFds(w1pr01)
 F                                                            usropn
  *  File Information Data Structure for PRTF
 D W1PR01          DS
 D  W1SPNO               123    124 i 0
 D  W1LNCT               367    368 i 0
 D  W1NOPG               369    372 i 0

The INFDS returns  correct  line count value , however , at the start the
pgm
, the system intialises the Line count field W1lnct = 16448 .

Cd anyone throw light on  why it is initialised to 16448  .
