Short answer for native green screen application is - sorry - can't be done.

Now that does not rule out other emulators, "visual rpg" solutions;
webshpere,
cgi programming or possibly even sockets.

Normal AS/400 programming requires enter/function key to be pressed so you
can re-paint
a screen with the desired attributes; a cursor moving does not qualify for
this.

You could "trick" the system via mapping the cursor keys on the emulator so
that
the cursor movement keys are function keys, thus giving control to your
program
so you can manipulate the display attributes.
This solution leaves open a huge hole for users messing with the keyboard
mapping,
and you will have to set all emulators up who need to use the program - a
possible
standard to do, but in practice, a nightmare in most companies.

I am looking for a way to highlight a record within a subfile, dependent
upon the location of the cursor. Have not been able to turn anything up on
how to do this.
Can you guys help with this one. If you say there is no way, then I will
give up.

Example of what I am wanting to do. The gray highlighted would be where my
cursor would be positioned. No enter has been done other than the load of
the subfile, just a movement of the cursor. So wherever the cursor is
moved within the subfile I would like to highlight the record it is on.
