>I've just had a real block on the ile stuff. You are NOT NOT NOT alone there! By far, the easiest way I found to learn ILE stuff (binding, etc.) was to write code in other languages, especially C. Not that I'm even fluent in C, but I learnt just enough to comprehend why they do some of that stuff. A book that helped my RPG tremendously was Steve McConnell's "Code Complete." You can get it anywhere computer books are sold, major bookstores, Amazon, etc. Activation groups are NOT hard to deal with, but they are different from what most everybody is used to. All the recent questions demonstrate is that a few more folks are taking that step. Our midrange vocabulary hasn't really prepared us for the ILE words, and it's compounded by some really silly names. Don't get caught up in the minutiae! Get the concepts and then the vocabulary will make sense. I will be more than happy to start a thread on how AG concepts work if you want. I will get gentle suggestions on the nuances (for which I'm grateful!) but I 'get' the general idea. Stick with it - it's worth it! --buck
