While not a precompiler issue, iSeries DB2 UDB does not have all of the
functionality of zOS DB2 UDB.

The precompiler takes your embedded SQL and converts it into system program
calls, data structures and MOVEs.  Compile an SQLRPG program and specify
OUTPUT(*PRINT) and you'll see what I mean.
