Hello Scott, You wrote: >In the OPTIONS(*NOPASS : *OMIT) case is there any reason you can't use >the %parms and %addr together? You can IF you do not specify CONST. Not specifying CONST seriously restricts the usefulness of the procedure so I generally always specify CONST on input parameters. The compiler will not let you take the address of a CONST parameter so I use the CEETSTA function instead. I should have mentioned this ability in my earlier note. It is useful when your procedure supports a string of optional output parameters much like the RTNVAR support from CL commands. For example: C CALLP getStuff( key : value1 : *OMIT : value2 : *OMIT ) Regards, Simon Coulter. -------------------------------------------------------------------- FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists http://www.flybynight.com.au/ Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 /"\ Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au \ / X ASCII Ribbon campaign against HTML E-Mail / \ --------------------------------------------------------------------
