By copying code you can make the same mistakes over and over almost effortlessly! Just kidding, but only about the last sentence. Copying code helps to form unofficial standards if you don't have any official ones. And it does save reinventing the wheel. But OTOH it shouldn't be an excuse for failing to take advantage of the enhancements available in the new releases of the compiler. I use SEU (but not Ctrl-left/right) and I do copy a lot of code, but I also over the last couple of years started using internal subprocedures then service programs, along with new opcodes and bifs. I love the for/endfor loop. So when I copy code I just try to do it from the newest programs that have the code I want.
