The definitive reference is... the RPG Reference!  It can be found online at
http://www.iseries.ibm.com.  Take the library link, then Infocentre.  See
the Operation Codes list, table 32 (in the V5R1 version).

V5R1 in brief:
%FOUND - CHAIN. DELETE, SETxx, CHECKx, SCAN, LOOKUP.
%EOF - READxx and WRITE, although a successful CHAIN, OPEN or SETxx will set
%EOF off.
%EQUAL - SETLL, LOOKUP.
%ERROR - most all I/O operations, CALLP.
