Hello Jill, First, I would like to thank you for considering me as a source of commentary on your up coming article on open source for the IBM iSeries. Open source projects are a "catch as catch can" proposition for us little folk that are trying to make a difference in the world that we believe in. Just this past week I read an article about IBM offering a Linux only mainframe. Then it dawned on me that IBM is playing a "me too" strategy with Linux. I find it ironic that the largest computer company on Earth, with income in excess of $1 billion per week, would be riding the coat tails of a product that is available for free. Maybe open source can make a paradigm shift. Maybe open source should be taken seriously. Regards, James W. Kilgore WyattERP@James-W-Kilgore.com Voice: (253) 848-2567 Fax: (253) 445-3074
