RE: *MDY into an 8 digit date.

Maybe you need to initialise EightDigits before the Move.  It looks as if
the Move is populating only the right 6 positions of the field, overwriting
an ISO date which was already in there.  Unless, of course, the Move changes
the format after populating the field but does not clear the right 2
positions, which would seem unlikely.
