Hi,

For ICF file compilation apart from, the command what you have specified,
i,e

CRTICFF FILE (*LIBL/ISPI0100) SRCFILE (*LIBL/QDDSSRC) +
              ACQPGMDEV (ISPI0100) AUT(*ALL)

Note: The file name and the Program device to acquire are same in the
command you have given. If you are using line & Controller for
Transmission/Receiving purpose then the device attached to that has to be
specified for ACQPGMDEV.

It is required to run the command ADDICFDEVE. In the parameter list of this
command, Specifying RMTLOC (remote location) is necassary. In most cases
the remote location name should be same as 'Program device to acquire'.

Subject: ICF file compilation
Importance: High

<<File: Wipro_Disclaimer.txt>>
Hi there,

I require information regarding compilation of ICF files on AS/400, I
have used the following command for compilation

CRTICFF FILE (*LIBL/ISPI0100) SRCFILE (*LIBL/QDDSSRC) +
              ACQPGMDEV (ISPI0100) AUT(*ALL)

Is the above command sufficient for compilation or do we need to add
other parameters to the command.

I had noticed another command being executed after the above command is
run.

ADDICFDEVE FILE(ISPI0100) PGMDEV (ISPI0100) MODE (BLANK) +
               FMTSLT (*RECID) RMTLOCNAME (*REQUESTER)

Is this command mandatory for the ICF file to be compiled and accessible
in a HLL program.

Send your reply to my id.

Regds,
Ammayappan
