It does in RPG IV, it does not in RPG III.  It is one of the "little" things
which makes me so glad to use RPG IV.

When I discovered this back in V3R1 or so, it made me *very* happy.

I always thought it was a silly limitation in RPG III, but this has worked for
input files for years now...
