Andrew,

Not sure about the news/400 program.

I use a RtvStkEnt procedure that is part of the
iSeries-toolkit. It returns either the long and/or
short format name. You can look at that procedure at:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/iseries-toolkit/CVSROOT/src/qrpglesrc/msgtkt.irp?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/plain

It sounds like you are getting tripped up on the looking for
the entry point procedure. The program entry should be
the same. With the RtvStkEnt procedure you can walk the
stack looking for the first non-ibm library, or this works for me:

C
EVAL ErrSts = RtvStkEnt(PgmQ:
C PgmQQ:
C '*CTLBDY':
C 2)

If you are interested in downloading the whole
package just go to the main page at:
http://iseries-toolkit.sourceforge.net

Has anyone have a method for identifying the program that caused a
trigger program to fire?

I have already looked at the CallerID program from news/400...This
program has limitations though, the call stack counter must know what
type of program it's going after (i.e. OPM, ILE, SQLRPLE etc...)
apparently it will only work on type of program...

Thanks in advance
