HP's and some others can print barcodes, I know since I used to work for ACOM
solutions ( but don't hold that against me...). It was, though, a real peice
of work getting them to print barcodes and the process was specific to the
printer. What type of printer did you say you have? If you already
mentioned, I apologize for having deleted emails on this discussion.

Not every time you have *AFPDS (or *IPDS) capable printer
I'm using a cheap (there are many of them) printer with a special command
set
for barcode and label printing, some need a special setting for the iSeries
connection.
You can connect them trough a PC or a Jectdirect...

So how does the DDS look? I'm using a 3of9 barcode on mine, and it looks
like
this:
A BARCOD 12 78
A BARCODE(CODE3OF9 4 *NOHRI *AST X'02-
A ')
A SPACEA(001)
A R PAGEND
A ENDPAGE
This PRTF has to be compiled as *AFPDS for the ENDPAGE to function - don't
know if the BARCODE needs it...
