Whoever wrote the original code was not careful enough or did not
understand based storage. A quick fix is to change that line to be:

 C                   Eval      BufferDta =
                                        %SUBST(BufferDtaFld:1:NbrBytesRead)

Note, however, that the correct approach is to use the DSM APIs
QsnRtvBufLen or QsnRtvBufSize to determine the size more reliably because
the buffer size can increase during use.

Why did it work prior to VRM450?  'cause you were LUCKY!
