Thanks for the link. >AFAIK, there are two XML parsers that can be used on the AS400; Actually if you are using Java on the AS400 you can utilize any XML parser that you want. That is what is cool about the java community. They develop interfaces for complex packages to ease the use. I am currently trying out javax.xml.parsers.* which is not necessarily "supported" by IBM, but when using Java you don't have to wait for IBM to do their thing so you can use certain functionalities. I think this should be usable on the AS400, though I've done nothing with XML. AFAIK, there are two XML parsers that can be used on the AS400; IBM's XML for C++ v3.5.1 (Xerces C++ parser v1.5.0) which *can* be used in RPGIV and ILE Cobol, and the XML parser for Java v3.2.1 (Xerces-J v1.4.2) Information about IBM's XML offerings can be had at: http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/xml Eric DeLong Sally Beauty Company MIS-Sr. Programmer/Analyst 940-898-7863 or ext. 1863 -----Original Message----- From: Bartell, Aaron L.
