This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Perhaps I dreamed it, but a few months ago I thought I saw an article in which the programmer defined what seemed to be, in effect, COBOL condition names in the d-specs of an RPG program. I can't remember exactly how it appeared, but in my "dream" I remember seeing a data structure definition, and then constant assignments (like 'yes' and 'no') within the structure. These were referenced later in the code. I'm not talking BOOLEAN variables. I know how to create and use those. Anyone else have the same "dream?" TIA! Jeff --
