I do not know this for a fact, but I think you also need special toner. Doing checks is so wicked that IBM doesn't even support it on their printers such as Infoprint (of which we have 2). To do it on an "Infoprint", you have to contact a company called Rosetta Technologies (www.rosettatechnologies.com). What they do is buy Infoprints from IBM, do something to/for them, then resell them under their own brand name. If you already own the Infoprint and want to do this, you're SOL, they won't do it to your Infoprint. Learned all this the hard way.
