I think it was already responded "it depends". Domino can be set up to send email one of two ways. One, using the 400 native SMTP. Two, using the Domino native smtp. If you use the Domino native SMTP you cannot use any 400 smtp type commands or api's including, but not limited to: SNDDST, SNDEMAIL QtmmSendMail, etc. We have Domino on several machines. Some running one way, some running the other. If you use the Domino native SMTP you will get better throughput with your Domino mail. And on our dedicated Domino 400 with 800-900 users and lots of email, (like this list) we use the Domino native. We use it to email from our AS400 in a our SNDEMAILSP cmd with a pgm derived from one published in News400 Sep 98 by Dave Leland. A search on SNDEMAILSP may also dig up our code if it's out there. Since IBM's Net.data product provides a simple means of emailing from a web request it is also possible to invoke this in a non-web environment. If so would you use SNDDST, or are there API's for this?
