Depends on what you mean. For the data that is returned, most definatly yes. (or, it could be your companie's own proprietary method of data communication). But sending, I don't see why you'd use XML, except to keep the parms you can pass INTO the program as "unrestricted" as possible. It's like... /pgm/getdata?fname=brad&lname=stone vs. /pgm/getdata?data=<firstname>brad</firstname><lastname>stone</lastname> I prefer #1 because you can control the data sent, you don't have to parse XML, and there is less physical data moving between machines.
