Well, I was reading the 'AS/400 ILE Concepts' manual and this is what it
said about default activation groups and calling an ILE program or service
program from an OPM program. Refer to
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/qb3aq704/3.2.2 for the
exact info, but here it goes paraphrased.

ILE programs can be activated in the OPM default activation group if two
conditions are satisfied:
1. ILE program or service programs are created with activation group
*caller
2. The call to the ILE programs or service programs originates in the OPM
DAG

The HLL verbs cannot be used to provide complete end of processing because
it is using the DAG. Open files will not be closed until the job ends.
Static and heap storages used by the ILE programs will not be returned until
the job ends. End of info....

It doesn't tell you what to do or what problems will be encountered, it just
tells you what the situation will be if you call ILE programs from an OPM
program. Well, I already knew that this would be the case, but I want to
know what to do about it, and is it a problem.

Thanks!

Jade
