Since this is the RPG list I suppose that the four programs are RPG programs. :)

You may want to look at the way I/O is done in the programs. There may be
time to save by using return with *inlr = *off in stead of *on if there are
thousands of calls, and if I/O isn't done "smart" there may be time to save
by using SETOBJACC, but that's off topic here :)
