try
select (actflg || STRZIP) from wstr

Spaces will be left as is. If you want to get rid of spaces you can use
functions like TRIM.

I am trying to concat 3 fields of different data type. Is this possible in
SQL syntax. I am not able to do concat even on a command line. I get syntax
error. Can some please tell me what the proper syntax is.
