I suppose &SONO is a numeric variable. You cannot concatenate a numeric
variable. Only character variables can be concatenated. If we had the CL
equivalent of the RPG IV %CHAR() built-in function, you could do it
in-line. But since we don't you have to first most the field's value to
a character field, then do the concatenation.
