Hi Joe, Faced with this same problem I wrote a wrapper to QdfRtvFd which is extremely complicated but does have the feature of getting the field names and row column info by format from the object itself. You could of course get the information from the dds source, but if you change the source without immediately promoting the change the info will be wrong. If you are interested in the wrapper let me know.
