Hi Rob, Yes, it would be nice to use the case tool, but in this case I'm working with vendor software. All I have is the generated source code, no case tool to go with it. And it applies to programs I write that use files created by the tool -- I could spend a few hours I suppose and rename all the fields from the external definition and put it in a /copy. Or give all the field names an alias, but I don't think RPGLE has the ability to use aliased field names does it?
