One benefit I've found is being able to copy source files from one file to
another. There have been cases when I wanted to copy a CL file to
QRPGLESRC, or a text file to QRPGLESRC for documentation on one of the
programs. It helps when the record sizes are the same size so I don't have
to check and make sure I didn't loose any data.

A small thing, but it helps.

Regards,

Jim Langston

Ok, now I understand there's no problem with creating Source Physical Files
> 92 for all source member types assuming your tools
can handle them.
My question is, what is the benefit to doing this other than the ability
place DDS, CLP etc. in the same Source Physical File as
your RPGLE?
