John, I didn't realize that. I guess that's why nothing was hurt when I forgot to call CEETREC. Thanks a bunch, Mark Mark Walter Sr. Programmer/Analyst Hanover Wire Cloth a div of CCX, Inc. mwalter@hanoverwire.com http://www.hanoverwire.com 717.637.3795 Ext.3040 "John Taylor" <jtaylor@rpg2java To: <RPG400-L@midrange.com> .com> cc: Sent by: Subject: Re: Activation Groups and Threadsafe owner-rpg400-l@mi drange.com 07/18/01 04:17 PM Please respond to RPG400-L Hi Mark, Calling CEETREC with a *new AG doesn't hurt anything, but it's pointless. A *new AG cleans up after itself, so you don't need to worry about it. That's one of the biggest advantages of using *new. -john ----- Original Message ----- From: <MWalter@hanoverwire.com> To: <RPG400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2001 12:12 Subject: Re: Activation Groups and Threadsafe > > Hello all, > > Basically we've let our programs create with ACTGRP(*NEW) and our Service > Programs create with ACTGRP(*CALLER) and have not had a problem.
