I am doing file conversions and have a problem. I have two files with the same name, same record name and same field names. However, some of the field definitions have changed, ie a 4b,0 field has become a 6A field. I can obviously change file naes with OVRDBF commands and rename record names, but is there anyway that anyone knows of that will make this easier than having to internally define one of the files to rename the fields to map between the two files? Some of the DDS files are short so internally defining them would not be a problem, but some of them have DDSs that are 8 pages long, etc which for only having to change 2 or 3 fields seems like a lot of wasted work to me.
