You will need to use the "Unix/C" style API's to scan the directory and then delete them. They can be found here. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/v5r1/ic2924/index.htm Aaron Bartell -----Original Message----- From: Wills, Mike N. (TC) [mailto:MNWills@Taylorcorp.com] Sent: Monday, July 09, 2001 4:39 PM To: 'RPG400-L@midrange.com' Subject: RPG program to delete IFS files We are creating PDF files from reports and storing them in the IFS. We would like an automated way to delete the files that are of a certain age off the system which are organized in a couple different folders on the IFS. Could someone point me in the right direction to delete those files? I realize I will have to use APIs (which I don't fully understand yet). I am hoping this will not be a difficult task to do. TIA for any help.
