Consider the other answers you received but if it MUST be a journal for either audit or some other purpose it is possible to write a journal entry programmatically. I recently tested writing a journal entry by (I think) using a CL command out curiosity while exploring the remote journalling functions. Off hand I can't remember exactly what the command was, but depending on your needs there is probably also an API that accomplishes the same task. Check the save and restore manuals for journalling and the database reference manual. Whatever they are called :) You might also have a look at the JRN commands on the command grouping menus. It would be interesting to hear what you hope to accomplish as you may get a better answer. Hope this helps Evan Harris At 04:38 PM 07/03/01 -0700, you wrote: >Is there any way to journal a data queue or at least anything similar? >Newbie >+--- >| This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! >| To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. >| To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. >| To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. >| Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com >+--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
