Title: Formation Stationery
For most objects, if I need to change the ownership, CHGOBJOWN works just fine. Its straight forward and intuitive. Simply place the user profile name in the command for the prompt of the new owner

Now if I need to change the ownership of a spool file from the OVRPRTF command there is a parameter value SPLFOWN.
Can I place a user profile here? Nope. The help text reads:

*CURUSRPRF
The spooled file is owned by the current user profile.
If the job has switched (see API QWTSETP) to a new
user profile, the new user profile is the owner of the
    spooled file.

So I have to run an API to change the entire job from the current user profile to the desired profile. Run the OVRPRTF and then change the job ownership back to the original profile?

Has anyone done this sort of thing recently, and would this be the right technique for implementing a change of ownership in a spool file.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Erick
