Bear in mind that (by default) an error condition in the embedded SQL does NOT cause an abnormal program termination - i.e. the program just ignores the exception and carries on. You may wish to incorporate some explicit error handling (e.g. check SQLCOD or SQLSTT return codes, or use the WHENEVER statement) in the program. This should enable you to determine if the DELETE statement is in error. Brian Parkins >>I did try to qualify it with the library name, and it made no >>difference.
