Have you used Client Access to transfer from a PC to the AS400? I have
tried in the past and been unsuccessful with client access. I just want
to know if there are certain gotchas I should have been aware of.

If I am transferring data into an Excel spreadsheet I have always used
the
Client Access data transfer utility. It has always worked well for me
and
provides the ability to create an SQL selection criteria on the
download.
The only gotcha I have ran into is to make sure that in the properties
you
have selected that CCISD 65535 conversion is selected.

The beauty of this is that it works from within Excel.
