I've told this story many times before, but I worked in one company that sold software, and I brought up to the attention of the President back in 1986 or so that their dates were not Y2K compliant (but this was before the term Y2K so I just said it wouldn't work in 2000). Yep, he knew, and his point was then people would have to pay to upgrade. Needless to say, I quit this company very soon thereafter. But, hey, the current windowing IBM uses means your system won't work after the last date of the window (what is it now, 2023? 2054?) so you'll need to upgrade... Although I don't know if that's IBMs point or not. I "fixed" the Y2K problem on my system by moving the window from 1900-2000 to 1980-2079. (Isn't MM/DD/YY always a window no matter where you see it, on checks, letters, whatever). Regards, Jim Langston Me transmitte sursum, Caledoni! "Joe Giusto (E-mail)" wrote: > > Good Point.
