Gary,

Use multiple spool files, such as POVEND1, POVEND2, POVEND3 and define them
in your RPG program as "UC" (under user control). Then open them (and
close them) yourself when the particular vendor's first PO record is found.
In your calling CLP, you can OVRPRTF to the appropriate OUTQ.

Subject: Spool File Output Queue

I have created an RPG/400 program that generates our Purchase Orders.

Depending on the state of the supplier the output needs to end up on any of
three printers.

In any given purchase order run we will generate purchase orders for all
three
printers.

I am happy to generate one spool file per purchase order (rather than
having all
the PO in one large spool file)

Question:
How can I control the output queue of my spool file(s) from within my
program.

Thanks for your help.
Gary.
