Jim, yes I've thought through the way you described (D...ALE), and..., no such
luck, we use a lame excuse for an email server and are locked into an equally
lame excuse for an email client. A mainframed-based animal called TAO. Many,
MANY things about TAO just make me wanna pu.. (ehh, no need to get graphic
here.)
And just so you know, I never see "Jim Langston
<jimlangston@conexfreight.com>". I only see "jimlangston@conexfreight.com" in
the From:. Now, if I open the attachment that contains the headers (yes, you
read right), I will see "Jim Langston <jimlangston@conexfreight.com>". Oh,
and the subject line always gets truncated to something like 32 characters.
To see the full subject, I have to look at the header attachment.
So, unfortunately, no options on how my name appears in the From: in email.
However, it appears that they're going to finally install a real email server
this weekend to replace the lame excuses, so there may be hope yet! We'll see
on Monday.
No matter. I have been called Dale by people who have seen only my name "Dan
Bale". So, I fear (?), having my From: address read: Dan Bale
<D.BALE@Handleman.com> really will not solve anything. :-(

Dan. If you notice my from address, it should say "Jim Langston
<jimlangston@conexfreight.com>".
Yet, yours says D.BALE@handleman.com
I think people just quickly glance up to see who the message is from, and see
the D...ALE part.
Can you get your reply address to say "Dan Bale <D.BALE@handleman.com>" ?
Yes, I know it is ridiculous that you would have to do this too, Dale, er, Dan
:)
Regards,
Jim Langston
