The SQL package is created with the compile and stored within the program as long as you specify *LOCAL for the database. Specifying any name (including the local) causes an object of type *SQLPKG to be created. When you specify NAMING(*SYS) on the compile SQL will look in *LIBL for the table. If you specify NAMING(*SQL) SQL will search a collection <user name> for the table.
