First off, you should have asked this in the RPG forum. So, I took the
liberty of "moving" it there. <g>

You need to define a data structure that has the same definitions as your
record format. You can use:
   D D1DS e ds EXTNAME(filename:D1)

You may also need to use the PREFIX keyword, if appropriate for your
situation. You didn't say why you wanted to move the data in the record
format to a data structure, but if you need a separate copy of the data, then
you'd also have to create a second data structure the same way as D1DS, and
you'd definately have to use the PREFIX keyword for that data structure.

I cannot seem to move a display file record into a similar data structure
without having to move the fields individually. I've tried both a MOVE and
an EVAL, such as EVAL D1DS = D1, where D1DS is the data structure and D1 is
the display file record format. It will not allow a compile.

Any ideas?
