Simon
So, when are you publishing the "UIM apprentice - Not quite a sorcerers'
guide" <g> Seriously, last time I looked into UIM, I was disappointed with
the documentation. Honestly though, I didn't spend a lot of time finding
manuals. I recall seeing some introductory articles in the trades a few
years back, but I can't recall who or when......

Regards,
Eric DeLong

Forget DDS, use UIM. It can take care of the magic for you. For example:

:class name=objnameCL basetype='objname 10 simple'.
:tl.
:ti value='"*JOBD"'.*JOBD
:etl.

:var name=jobq class=objnameCL.

If the user types anything except *JOBD it will be validated as an object
name.

There are many other advantages to using UIM (really large subfiles, easy
alternate views, easy subfile positioning, modular applications, national
language support, consistent screen design, etc.).

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
