I have a program that is trying to acquire an ICF file in order to
submit a credit report request. The program stops at the ACQ statement
and the job goes into ICFW status. The job log shows that
the device name I am using was added to the ICF file and the remote
location I am using to chain to the ICF file is correct.
The acquire statements appears as shown below
*
FICF CF E WORKSTN KNUM 1
F KINFDS FEEDBK
F KINFSR EXCPTH

I 38 45 FMTNAM

The next statement after your 'ACQ', Check the Major/Minor return codes
via the feddback area, if they are are greater than 0 then look up the
error in the ICF programmers reference.
If the Major/Minor codes are 0, then either issue a program evoke on the
remote system, or do a read to your ICF format to receive data from the
program that evoked your program.
It's been a few years since I did any APPC ICF programming,
but I hope this Helps.
