     If you only want to validate the name, use the CHECK(VN) keyword at 
     the field level in your DDS for the display file...

Hi,
is there any API's to edit as400 object name? i have maintenance screen 
with input field containing object names and want to edit it according to 
IBM as/400 standards and do not want to create subroutine to do just that.
