CONST passes the pointer address of the parameter which can be changed in the called PGM, but does not change the value for the calling programme.
VALUE passes a copy of the real value of the parameter to the called PGM. Changing the value in PGM 2 does not effect the value of the parameter in PGM 1.

What's the difference between using CONST and VALUE on ILE parm lists? I
have always used VALUE. It seems to do the same thing as CONST.

ie:
D QCmdExc PR ExtPgm('QCMDEXC')
D 256 Options(*Varsize) Const
D 15 5 Const

Just wondering.
