I'm writing a client sockets program that reads the socket data into a variable
length field and then accumulates the data into another variable length field.
This works fine, but I'm told that the incoming data will exceed 32K (the limit
of my cumulative field).

Is this the way to get around the 32K limit?
Psuedo-code

AccumSocketData        Based(AccumSocketDataPtr)

Eval            SocketDataPtr = %addr(SocketData)
Alloc            1        BeginningPtr
Eval            AccumSocketDataPtr = BeginningPtr
DoU           ReturnedDataLength <= 0
Eval ReturnedDataLength = ReadSocket( SocketDataPtr :
SocketDataLength
)
If                ReturnedDataLength > 0
Eval AccumDataLength = AccumDataLength + ReturnedDataLength
Realloc       AccumDataLength    BeginningPtr
Eval            AccumSocketData = %trim(SocketData)
Eval            AccumSocketDataPtr = AccumSocketDataPtr +
%len(%trim(SocketData))

EndIf
EndDo

P.S. Chris, thanks for the code page conversion info. Worked like a charm.
