Hi, This issue has reared it's head again. So far nobody has been able to help. Writing an SSL socket pgm does not appear to be much of a problem since there is code about in C and RPGLE. I still have not yet got my head around how the certificate thing works though. It seems to me that having created a certficate you need to associate it with the server application. For IBM servers like the HTTP server this appears to happen via the web based admin for the HTTP server and the Digital Cert Mgr. What is the procedure regarding certificates and a user written server? I know that Barbara Morris has posted code for converting the socket prototypes from C to RPGLE but the certificate is independent of the language. Perhaps Barabra or someone else knows of someone who has implemented their own SSL server. There is always the java strategy where I believe the certificate stuff appears to be more transparent but I'm not ready to go there yet.
