AS/400 manuals come on a CD-ROM with every system and are also located on the Internet. At some point in the past, there was a criticism that RTFM answers should include a reference to The Fine Manual in question. This strikes me as doing someone else's homework, but beginners often report an unpleasant experience trying to track things down. In that spirit, here's how I found the answer to the above question in the IBM manuals on the Internet. http://www.as400.ibm.com redirects you to http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/ Take the Library link. Take the Online Library/Books and Manuals in Online Format link. Choose your language and click GO! Choose your OS version - I picked V4R4. Search or view all books. Search Books (below the text box) for my search, I typed in "rt indicator" without the quotes click RPG/400 Reference because we're looking at an old program... click the first hit - Return Indicator Note the reference to "Communicating with Other Objects" in the RPG/400 User's Guide. Back up to the list of books and click on RPG/400 User's Guide. click on the first hit - A Normal End click on the second hit - Return without an End Buck Calabro Aptis; Albany, NY "Nothing is so firmly believed as that which we least know" -- Michel Montaigne Visit the Midrange archives at http://www.midrange.com +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
