I disagree. If the new mailing list is called "e-RPG", then presumably its also RPG-based, and you'd get a similar response. Also, most people associate e-RPG with CGI programming rather than "any network related" programming, which is one more reason to take my earlier suggestion and call it "RPG Network Programming" rather than "e-RPG". Finally -- If you simply asked the question in this manner "I'm writing an RPG application that uses SOL_REUSEADDR with setsockopt(). What affect with this have on my sockets?" I don't think anyone would complain about it on either this list or a new one if it's created.
